Our well was drilled in 1985. At the time we planned to build a pump house to contain both the well head and a stationary generator. But by the time the well went online in the Fall of 1985, it was too late in the year to start such an ambitious project. So our neighbors gave us an old portable shed to cover the well through the winter. We procrastinated so effectively that the old “temporary” shed was still in service in 2007. Click on the thumbnails below to see photos of the old shed. Note that the shed remained standing only through the support of a coat of paint, and it needed painting badly.
